I’ve been awarded one of these.
I am now a versatile blogger. Maybe I should be doing yoga or some other back-bending calisthenics to prove my versatility.
The culprit darling blogger who is responsible for this state of affairs is none other than The Great Zambini.
I am duly humbled.
So humbled in fact that I need more coffee to continue…
BRB
There is nothing like a good cup of strong Brazilian coffee to get you over the ‘humbles.’
I note that the requirements for marking my versatility are the same as those for being ‘very inspiring,’ an award that I recently received on Shit Happens.
Now the rules of accepting the Very Inspiring Versatile Blogger Award are:
- Display the award logo on your blog. √
- Link back to the person who nominated you. √
- State 7 things about yourself. √
- Nominate 15 other bloggers for this award and link to them. ¤
- Notify those bloggers of the nomination and the award’s requirements.
I could, of course, cheat here and simply ctrl-c, ctrl-v, but not wanting to appear completely churlish you can visit those things on Fame & Riches are on the Horizon post, so I will add some new stuff…
Seven things about me…
1. I don’t tolerate stupidity, sometimes I break out in sarcasm.
2. Coffee turns ideas into blog posts. (I had to mention coffee again)
3. I am an artist, I paint with oils and have dabbled with clay sculptures. I have also in the past worked with leather as an art form.
4. I was raised with a cat, a big ginger Tom named Nicky shared my cot.
5. I suffer from claustrophobia, being in the company of small minded people, it gives me the willies.
6. I have written books, English grammar, mountain safety, firearms safety, and technical aspects of modifying cartridges; none have ever reached the top ten sellers list.
7. I love instrumental music, I firmly believe that words ruin music. I hate opera and country and western particularly.
8. Damn, again, I never could count. I have no idea what my blood pressure is, nor my cholesterol count, I’m too busy enjoying life.
Now, continuing the awards… In truth, I don’t nominate blogs for awards. I used to, but I have found more recently that many don’t respond in kind. So I stopped. It’s not that I am being churlish, but I fail to see the point of devoting time, when it is not appreciated; one list of eight of my nominees, not one participated.
So, I invite you to participate, dear reader, take the award and I hope you have more luck with your nominees than I have had.
I could of course, simply nominate my other seven blogs, and write myself a note advising myself that I have been nominated over a wonderful cup of Brazilian coffee. That would solve half the problem.
However, I am going to share the award over my other blogs, because they are all a part of my whole.
I will also visit each of the previously awarded blogs.
thanks AV, I enjoyed reading this! my little sparkling black dress is currently at the cleaners, so I will politely decline the award, but hey, thanks! is the thought that counts! have a great weekend 🙂

>OAiC, OMG, how untimely to have your little black dress at the cleaners… BBQ weekends are always great, thank you, hope yours is too.

I am a refusenik. But I am pleased for you AV as you entertain us royally. My DJ is also at the dry cleaners in prep for daughter’s wedding. I suspect I shall be the only one to tie my own (bow tie) but standards must be upheld, even in the PRC, HK sub- branch. Have another offer to celebrate. Oh and I share number 1. fact with you. Stupid people deserve everything they get.
