sadlettuceAnd other BBQ leftovers for lunch today. 2″ of cucumber, half a tomato, some celery sticks, a boiled egg, pickled beetroot, gherkins and there’s still some mayonnaise left.

NO! I’m not going vegematarian!

But I hate wasting food.

I don’t even waste my empty wine bottles!

Wine bottles get repurposed

Wine bottles get repurposed

The fancy ones get used, once they get grotty, they go out for recycle, and replaced.

Digging in the archives for yesterdays post, I found another interesting one of Ellen Suelen.

Perched on the kitchen sink

This is how you wash dishes!

She doesn’t do that anymore either.

Sunny start to the day, rain forecast for later. Been out in the yard changing things, watering plants, and put the recycle rubbish out. The truck has already been. Today I recycled bottles (wine and beer), plastic, polystyrene and cardboard. The yucky rubbish goes out later.

I read a recipe earlier this morning.

Creamy Mexican Cassarole… My immediate thought was:

Yeah, first catch your Mexican!

Then I reread it, Creamy Mexican Chicken Casserole. The recipe sounds delish, can be found on Night Owl Kitchen.

Some time when I catch a Mexican chicken, I’ll try that.

Another recipe this morning on Chez Moi, Lamb shanks with pomegranate and lemon. An easy one, throw it all in the roasting dish and GO!

Google is playing dirty tricks. If you are using an old browser version, they’ve stopped giving you the new search engine mods. Instead they give you an older version of the search engine.

Netscape-2

Netscape, the first and best ever browser

They give their reasons, but I fully suspect something more nefarious; like older browsers don’t let them get enough information about you, so they want you to update your browser so they can get more personal info and browsing habits. I don’t trust them, they’re sneaky bastards.

They are targeting Opera and Safari users. I wonder what would happen if I fired up prehistoric Netscape? It’s still the best browser ever.

I never use Google to google. I use Start Page as a proxy which doesn’t divulge your IP, so they can’t target you.

Off to have some Nap-fu practice.

Later.
