Da Yoff

BPgoldYes, it’s another day off.

I have had lunch. I gutted some sausages, chopped some onion, tomato and made patties. It was a lazy man’s lunch, because I am feeling lazy today; well, lazier than most days.

I am sitting her quaffing a Brazilian beer called Black Princess; which goes well with the stiffling heat.

My fan is working like crazy, blowing hot air over me.

Exciting things I’ve done today: I’ve washed the dishes, watered the plants and eaten two white guava for breakfast. I have also has a successful morning posting on blogs, this is the second last.

No classes today, so I should indulge in some Nap-fu practice.

Today some net sites are slow. It is part of the protest against FCC fast lanes depriving us small people of speed.

anigifIf you feel stronlgly about this then visit their site.

Today, my Eco-Crap CTWW post was about spreading the ‘green’ word. Hop on over to CTWW and check it out. You may find it interesting.

Now for a beauty. I have never seen a volcano begin its eruption before. I have seen volcanoes erupting, but never this

Pretty awesome. Especially the shock wave above and later the sound and shock reaches the boat.

Found here.

The Japanese are fools. Looks like they’re going to restart some of their nuclear reactors. After Fukushima, you’d think they had learned something, but oh no!

Interesting question. Where’s Heaven?

stairs-to-heaven-1Posted on a religious type blog. For me heaven is not a place, it’s a feeling. A knowing that I have lead a decent life and won’t be subject to the hell fires.

The stairs to heaven are each day in our day in our lives.

I am an atheist, heaven and hell don’t exist as physical planes, rather they are what we do and don’t do in our allotted spans here in the physical world.

The beer has gone, I’m off… you know where.

Later.

Should I even try?

Yesterday, I had left myself 40 minutes, today is worse, I have 20.

I spent all my energey on my first post of the day. Eco-Crap – CTWW – Population I started the post at 2am and after going back to bed finally finnished it at 9am; that’s when I ran out of steam coffee. It’s a post that borders on heresy and is certainly radical; dealing with our delusion of progress in relation to the Population vs the environment. It’s subject matter that I have espoused before, but I get a little heavy about it in this post. The opening of the post deals with my recent Montezuma’s Revenge and how I feel about water..

The rest of today was spent, paying my rent, a leisurely lunch and subsequent Nap-fu practice on returning home, which brings me to this late hour in the day, and 20 10 minutes before I hit the panic button.

I had a mishap earlier. I inadvertantly deleted two blogs that I follow. I caught myself before the damage was even greater. The problem is, that I don’t know which blogs I deleted from my follows list. My trigger finger was too quick. So, if you find yourself thinking, “That clown unfollowed me!” Don’t get all bitter and twisted, or start having self-doubts about your blog, just let me know in comments somewhere along the line so that I can rectify my momments madness.

Five minutes…

Yesterday was the 19th. It marked the day when the political bullshit officially starts for the elections for president and state governors. It’s going to be a pain in the arse. It also means that we are subjected nightly to obligatory (on all channels simultaneously) polical broadcasts. They are not so much electioneering as brainwashing.

Two minutes… and that’s about how long it will take Beep Beep Boop!

Later.

Oh dear, this post is lop sided. Both images on the right. I must admit that it’s not a really balanced post, but what can you do in 20 minutes.

Synergistically Repurposed

cloudsWTF?

Basically it means ‘fired’ for the team’s benefit. That’s as near as I can figure it out.

No, I haven’t been fired. I just found this phrase when I was reading that HSBC hasn’t ‘fired’ 3,000 employees, they’ve been ‘demised’. The moment I saw it, I loved it and had to use it.

Dead-Hard-DriveLate start this morning. I was awake until well after the witching hour swapping and changing hard drives in an effort to squeeze some more juice out of them and save lost files. I did find some forgotten files, but not the ones I had hoped for.

Using software has now become not an option. The next step is surgery. I have one drive that just ‘clicks’ and isn’t recognised. I have great hopes of curing this clickiness.

I eventually surfaced about 10am and being Wednesday, my first post is Change the World Wednesday on Eco-Crap.

I got that far when I read the news as I intensified the morning with coffee and realised that it was actually no longer morning.

I have washed no dishes, I have prepared no lunch. I have fed Lixo, I’d never hear the end of it if I hadn’t.

I have stuff to do, can’t sit here all day, although I probably will. Such is the life of a blogger.

Later.
