Da Yoff

BPgoldYes, it’s another day off.

I have had lunch. I gutted some sausages, chopped some onion, tomato and made patties. It was a lazy man’s lunch, because I am feeling lazy today; well, lazier than most days.

I am sitting her quaffing a Brazilian beer called Black Princess; which goes well with the stiffling heat.

My fan is working like crazy, blowing hot air over me.

Exciting things I’ve done today: I’ve washed the dishes, watered the plants and eaten two white guava for breakfast. I have also has a successful morning posting on blogs, this is the second last.

No classes today, so I should indulge in some Nap-fu practice.

Today some net sites are slow. It is part of the protest against FCC fast lanes depriving us small people of speed.

anigifIf you feel stronlgly about this then visit their site.

Today, my Eco-Crap CTWW post was about spreading the ‘green’ word. Hop on over to CTWW and check it out. You may find it interesting.

Now for a beauty. I have never seen a volcano begin its eruption before. I have seen volcanoes erupting, but never this

Pretty awesome. Especially the shock wave above and later the sound and shock reaches the boat.

Found here.

The Japanese are fools. Looks like they’re going to restart some of their nuclear reactors. After Fukushima, you’d think they had learned something, but oh no!

Interesting question. Where’s Heaven?

stairs-to-heaven-1Posted on a religious type blog. For me heaven is not a place, it’s a feeling. A knowing that I have lead a decent life and won’t be subject to the hell fires.

The stairs to heaven are each day in our day in our lives.

I am an atheist, heaven and hell don’t exist as physical planes, rather they are what we do and don’t do in our allotted spans here in the physical world.

The beer has gone, I’m off… you know where.

Warts and All

Warts have a better chance of going viral

I tried, I really did, I thought yesterday’s post had a chance to go viral.

But it appears warts have a better chance.

I need to rethink my strategies.

Silly Dept

I have decided who will win the FIFA World Cup.

No, none of the teams, although one maybe declared the winner and get to hold 5kgs of gold aloft.

No, not even FIFA will be a winner, despite gaining $billions.

The real winners will be the makers of silly hats.

sillyhats

Yes, they’ll be the real winners.

Cameroon-Vs-Brazil-World-Cup-2014Brazil will be frothing at the bung come 5pm with the game against Cameroon.

As I see it, Brazil needs a win to stay ahead of Mexico should they win their game.

Speaking of FIFA, did you know that FIFA earned $10.5bn in the last World Cup in South Africa, while the hosts gained a paltry $500m.

That’s just plain wrong. FIFA outlays nothing! The hosts do all the outlaying.

It’s the same here in Brazil this year. The whole paradigm is wrong, the hosts should be getting the billions and FIFA be satisfied with what’s left over.

For whom the bell tolls

For whom the bell tolls

The world has never been so much aware of the imbalance. Septic Blathermouth and his toxic cronies will be the death of FIFA. The death knell is already sounding.

The saying, and title for Ernest Hemingway’s novel came from the Meditation #17Perchance, he for whom this bell tolls may be so ill, as that he knows not it tolls for him;” I think that applies so perfectly to Septic Blathermouth, he’s one sick puppy.

I believe that the Qatar World Cup will be the last under the guise of FIFA. Basically because Qatar is so damned rich it doesn’t care how much it spends.

But it will never be held again in a country that is so strapped for cash, that they are imposing austerity measures, unless FIFA foot the bill; or there is a massive rebalancing of the profits.

Back to the Pope. He has excommunicated the Italian mafia, but he still says no to drugs. Weird, most of the mafia money comes from them. Decriminalise drugs and you strangle a major income source for the mafia; which means more Catholics saved from the fires of Hell.

Which leads to consider does Hell exist? And if it exists, is it exothermic or endothermic?

Consider this, it’s been around for a while, so you may/may mot have seen it, either way, enjoy or enjoy it again.

HellHypothesis

I am now going to press the new key on my keyboard.

Viral-Marketing-Strategies1

and see if this works…

I’m getting desperate.

Now comes the time for an important decision, coffee or a nap?

*Cogitating*

Plan B

PoweredbycaffeinePlan A was yesterday, go to the supermarket.

I opted for Plan B, go to the supermarket tomorrow.

It is now tomorrow and I didn’t take into account that it would be pissing down with rain.

I have to go to the supermarket, because the fridge was empty yesterday, today it is ultra-empty. I have enough milk for two more coffees, then it is Armageddon.

Actually, I do have food, but it is all frozen, and I am saving it for my birthday BBQ next month.

I woke early this morning, at counter-productive o’clock. It was like 5am. Normally, I am okay with waking at that hour, but I chose to watch the TV movie, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, the one with Nicholas Cage. It was coolish, predictable, but coolish. It finished at 1am+, whereas I am normally in bed before 11pm. Waking at 5am didn’t gel well at all.

In the news, we have these dopes ah, doped athletes. We need to take a stronger stance with this doping shit. I am all in favour of lifetime bans, none of this banned from the next event pussy footing nonsense. Ban them from all competitive sport for life. Would they run the risk then? Probably…

The news has once again been full of major headlines for five days. A Glee actor was found dead. The people need to know about this, spying on emails is not important, climategate is not important, the world is not important.

I have discovered a paradox. We all need a healthier diet…

aservingoffruitSee, the world is just full of paradoxes.

These are the things that I come to grip with on a daily basis, they torment me, they twist my mind, blacken my soul.

Last night on the TV news, after seeing the C-130 land yesterday on all channels various times, they showed the Popemobile being unloaded; not once, not twice, but three times. I was soooo enthralled. It was accompanied by more wood hugging and kissing. Such devout believers in a myth.

There is no such thing as heaven and hell as places, they are hopes and fears in the dark corners of people’s minds. I fail to understand how ‘intelligent people allow themselves to be controlled by a perpetual myth, perpetrated by those who want to control.

karma1Enough, the rain has stopped, time to get out of my pyjamas and dash to the supermarket.

Any odds that it will start raining again as soon as I poke my head out the gate? Murhy’s Law in action.
