mondaygoneyetI never renege on a promise…

Well, mostly never.

The plants got watered, I had Nap-fu practice and the washing is in.

I went shopping and bought a thyme plant which is now growing alongside my sage. The shop was out of short-grained rice for sushi, I have to go back on Friday. Lunch wasn’t anything to write home about, the best thing was two handles of beer.

Home and another Nap-fu.

I got a surprise. The techy-type bloke informed me that my LCD screen was ready and functioning. I was out the door and round to his place in a flash. Turned out it was the in-line transformer had burnt out. R$30 for the part.

So, I am gazing at my 17″er again. So different. It’s like when the first cinerama theatres opened, you need to move your head from left to right to get the whole picture.

The elections here are over. Marina made a dramatic decline towards the end and was beaten by Aércio Neves, who will run off against the incumbent blonde bimbo on the 26th. Which means we’ve got another three weeks of political crap on TV every night.

The brain’s GPS is located in the frontal lobe

Turns out the brain does have a GPS. No wonder I do a left turn when I pass the botequim… The Nobel Prize for medicine was awarded to three scientists who discovered it.

Turns out that Twitter doesn’t have a brain; something I have suspected for a long time. I got three suggestions to follow today. All SEO types. All rejected without thinking.

Ebola is in the news again. First case contracted outside of the African continent; in Spain.

Another angle on the virus, we are reaping what we have sown. The cause, deforestation is destroying the habitats of virus carrying fruit bats driving them closer to urban areas. All the countries involved have sold their timber to foreign logging companies; who are literally raping the land. So once again, man is the author of his own misfortune.

The Latvian election managed to keep the Russian threat at bay.

The current problem of many European Muslims heading off to the Middle East to join IS has been identified as a rebelling against laws that ban traditional Muslim dress, veils and the like. Muslims are saying that their religious rights are being eroded. I put the ball in the court, when in Rome do as the Romans do. If you don’t like it, stay home.

A report saying that Septic Blathermouth of FIFA must go to restore credibility. I agree. FIFA needs new blood.

The TV news has started, I’m off.

I cancelled the idea of lunch yesterday. Instead I made Cordon Bleurgers; a hamburger with chopped weinerschnitzel, ham and cream cheese.

What I had planned for yesterday, I had today when I felt a little more energetic.

Remember the US Ebola case I mentioned yesterday. Well, it turns out that the guy had contact with at least 100 people, who are now all under house quarantine and observation.

Now the question remains, how many people did they have contact with? Although, they have said the people are only infectious once symptoms have manifested. Is that a guarantee?

New season blossom buds have appeared on my big guava tree… looks like I will have a bumper crop. Last season was the first and had many, but sparse.

Heavy rain woke me at 5am. I tried to ignore it and rolled over. Looks like we are about to get a promised weather change later today. The clouds are rolling in, it is cooling rapidly and darkening already at 3pm.

Nice to see that the Nobel Peace Forum due to be held in South Africa next week has been cancelled there and will be held in another country. Why? SA refused the Dalai Lama a visa, obviously at the behest of China.

China is getting nervous over the protests in Hong Kong and urges the colony to take a tougher stance as numbers swell over the hoilday, and look as though they are not going to go away. Will we yet have another Tiananmen?

Grace Mugabe, wife of the imcumbent despot, enrolled in Zimbabwe University and two months later walked out with a PhD. The people are suspicious; she’s not that biliiant a scholar. Her husband is also the chancellor… Do you smell something fishy?

Another problem… Hundreds of girls and women are going missing in the west, reappearing in Iraq and Syria to bear children for the caliphate”TheGuardian. The caliphate is the supreme leader of IS.

So the world is still on course for a dismal end.

No port, no storm today. I have class at 4pm.

Before I go….

I’ve done it again!

Why I never drink Decaf coffee

Why I never drink Decaf coffee

Less than a half hour before panic stations.

The net was down this morning, so I went to the supermarket for some retail therapy.

Therapied myself stupid!

Three bottles of wine and some food. The meat today was crap, so I sufficed with sausages, mincemeat and hotdogs. I also started to buy some bits and pieces for my birthday BBQ next weekend. Much more to buy.

I must appologise to my regulars, the last two posts have been a bit lacklustre, and today’s will be no better.

With the revamp of WP post page, I miss the post title count. In the old format, after you had wiitten in the title, i came up with a count of the number of times you had used that title. It’s gone. I miss it, especially for my regular posts on some blogs. The new page also has a nasty habit that when I click on the parameters for images, it pops up to the top of the page again, then I have to scroll it back down, That’s annoying.

This IS (Islamic State) bullshit, and the death of the American reporter, needs to be dealt with. Along with those nasty bastards Boko Harum. I have nothing against geniune Muslims, but these are just pathetic barbaric bastards that need to be taken out and given their 72 virgins (I hope they are all old shrivelled nuns).

In the state of the world, reading about the economy and the probablity of a mass revolt against the government, they often talk about a ‘spark’ that will ignite the rebellion. I had wondered if this police shooting of the boy in Ferguson would be that spark. But things seems to have calmed down a bit.

It’s all a bit of a worry really.

I see that scientists have discovered the elelment of suprise…

element of surpriseWith that, I’ll love and leave you.
