A Poop in the Corner

Yes, she hid under the kitchen sink where I couldn’t reach her and she pooped in the corner… The broom wasn’t handy, so she got away with it. The broom is now parked in the kitchen.

Steak N EggsSteak ‘n eggs for breakfast. I was sorely tempted to open a bottle of wine to complete the debauchery, but I resisted, I fought with myself internally and opted for sparkling mineral water and ice.

It was more of a brunch really. I woke hungry from my nap at 11am.

After lunch I watered the plants, they were doing a great impression of dying. Well, not actually ‘dying’ but doing a distinct wilt.

tbirdI had to shut down and do a CHKDSK, something had crashed in my Thunderbird email client and I couldn’t delete mails.

Things were a bit sluggish too, and it fixed that.

So I killed a bird and a slug with one stone.

With all the crap about Brazil not being prepared for the FIFA World Cup, it looks like it’s going to be the same for the Olympic games. Just two years away and some venues haven’t even been started.

Scandal: Tamiflu, the wonder flu drug, appears to be no more effective than Paracetamol. And, the Brits have spent a cool £473m on stockpiling the stuff. Who’s been conned then?

The news is full of Pistorius this, Pistorius that. I heartily sick of Pistorius, I don’t give a damn, tell us when they find him guilty or not. I don’t want to know every sordid detail. It’s boring.

God is angry at the Australians for culling sharks. He’s sent a typhoon to punish them on Friday night and ruin the weekend.

The hunters of MH370 have another beep. So they are narrowing down the search area. Makes it more likely that they’ll find their flight recorder and find out what happened to the flight.

It’s another nice sunny autumn day out there, makes one think that they should be out there enjoying it. The beer truck has been, so I know that the botequim has beer; now there’s a thought.

Later.

Here’s a thought for the day…

A Bacon Moment

baconloveYesterday’ lunch was a ‘bacon moment’, absolutely delicious and one that I’ll be repeating soon. *Makes note: buy more bacon*

With 11 Likes, it just goes to show that you don’t need testicles and penises in a post to get likes. You are all absolved…

I see MSM got it stuffed up again in the stories of Brazilian prostitutes being sent to Europe and Africa via human trafficking. The girls being trafficked were not prostitutes, but they were required to prostitute themselves at their destinations after being lured there by false promises. I do wish MSM could get their shit right.

Horrific news… McDonald’s is not going to use Heinz sauce any more after 60 years of doing so. The apocalypse is nigh.

Merkle was shocked to find that US had been spying on her phone since 2002, Obama denies everything; NSA chief says we didn’t tell him This morning it seems they spied on 60 million Spanish communications in just one month. I wonder who will be next?

Been a slow start this morning. I don’t like rushing headlong into Mondays, best to take it quietly and sneak up on them. The coffee is good. Lunch will be a pork something with the remainder of the mushrooms; maybe a curry in another slap-dash. Leftovers, bacon & asparagus for dinner. Then I must use the pork ribs tomorrow.

Windy overnight, tried to rain a bit, cool and sunny this morning. I haven’t napped yet, but Cloro is doing it now on the printer.

10:45, time fore breakfast, asparagus on toast and more coffee.

Later.

Cloro heard me type breakfast, she’s at the door with a well-what-are-you-waiting-for look on her face.

Too Cold for Bonking

Yes, Lixo is inside tonight, sleeping soundly on my clean clothes. It’s too cold to foray outside in search of love.

Brazil is suffering a mass of polar air over the south of the country that has bought snow to more than 80 cities as far north as Curitiba. Some of these cities haven’t seen snow since the 1940s.

pope1Pope, pope, pope… The news is full of the Pope.

So far the Pope has got lost, red faces everywhere ducking for cover. The popemobile complete with pope got caught in a traffic jam with buses.

The pope has kissed a baby.

Today the pope is resting.

Amusing to note that the political figures in Rio were proud of the money they had personally put up for the big pope party last night. I heard one figure of R$800,000, but it was all for nothing. Pope Francis true to form in renouncing riches, snubbed the party and left after the official bits were over. Leaving the political figures with bloodied noses. When I heard this, I laughed my socks off. Bunch of wankers!

I have now calculated the damages; I lose R$295.50 in wages because of this papal fiasco.

I was asked today by a devout Catholic about my views of the pope, I informed him that I wouldn’t walk across the road to see him. He was shocked beyond belief. I have the same view of any famous personage, politician, president, film star… I’d snub the bloody lot. Far too much bullshit in this world; not enough sharing and caring.

He was even further shocked when I asked him why we are here. His response to worship god was of course predictable. The moment of shock came when I negated his answer and said we are here to provide good compost and mulch for the planet.

An ignoble end, but that’s it; our destiny, regardless of our riches or poverty, is to compost the planet, just the same as the biggest animal, the prettiest flower, or the lowliest worm.

That was the end of the argument, he agreed that I had won the debate. Especially when I made the point that I would get closer to heaven regardless of differences in our piety, because I was fatter than he and therefore able to provide more compost.

I love teasing the devout.

News is about to start; can’t miss more pope, pope, pope…

The 18th Nov wasn’t a go

You’ll get two today… hopefully. One before I go to bed and one after I have been.
